JUNETEENTH
Juneteenth remembers June 19, 1865, when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were informed that they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed. While freedom had been declared, many enslaved people did not yet know they were free.
At Life Center, we recognize Juneteenth because the freedom of an enslaved people matters. This is part of our shared history—one we can grieve honestly while also holding onto the living hope we have in Jesus. As a church that exists to bring LIFE in Jesus to EVERY LIFE in our communities, we honor the dignity, value, and God-given worth of every person created in His image.

LCStudents 2026 Mission Trip
LCStudents -
We are making a change, and heading to Portland for our 2026 Mission Trip! This trip is all about stepping out of our comfort zones, growing in our faith, and serving the people in our cities. We’ll be partnering with local ministries and organizations to support those facing homelessness, food insecurity, and other needs in the city.
You may be wondering, why the pivot? This trip is designed to be both impactful and accessible, giving more students the opportunity to experience what it means to live on mission. While we would love to visit LA in the future, we felt it was important to make this missions trip more affordable and closer to home. In doing so our goal is to include more students and learn to care deeply for the cities in the PNW. Throughout the week, students will build community, deepen their relationship with God, and deepen their heart for their city and home.
