WHAT IS STEPHEN MINISTRY?

A Stephen Minister is a member of the Life Center congregation who has been trained to provide high-quality, one-to-one, Christ-centered care to a person experiencing a life crisis, someone who is in need of support, or times of uncertainty. Training topics include crisis management, anxiety, grief and loss, active listening, and more. These individuals receive over 50 hours of dedicated training learning the skills to be an effective Stephen Minister.

Stephen Ministry is a ministry of presence, supporting others, and helping to be a bridge to healing and freedom. Training to become a Stephen Minister is a great way to learn tools to walk alongside others when life is unkind, health challenges occur, a life change happens, or the death of a loved one. Join us as we learn what it means to be a support to others.
